Youth Without Shelter
The project was to create an infographic for each of Youth Without Shelter’s five key programs and posters for each of YWS’ seven projects.
Youth Without Shelter is an emergency residence and referral agency serving homeless youth. YWS are dedicated to providing shelter and support programs for homeless youth ages 16-24. YWS provide an independent shelter, committed to diverse client-focused services, in a safe non-judgemental environment. YWS’s programs enable youth to live responsibly and independently in society.
YWS is Etobicoke’s singular emergency residence and referral agency serving homeless youth between the ages of 16 and 24. The 30 bed Emergency Residential Program meets the immediate needs of the youth by providing safe shelter, crisis counselling, nutritious food, clothing and hygiene products. Residents are given access to life skills training sessions and workshops through YWS’s Steps to Success and Housing Programs. An Employment Program aims to alleviate the obstacles youth encounter in finding and maintaining employment. A Stay in School Program offers longer-term accommodation for up to 20 youth while they focus on completing their education.
Youth Without Shelter’s vision is to end homelessness, one youth at a time, one step at a time.
